If you have a specific question regarding our services please contact us

directly, otherwise please feel free to browse this section of common questions people ask us.

Q.    Is it possible to use your microphone for presentations and thank-you's?

A.    Yes.

Q.    One of our guests is quite a 'budding DJ'. Is it possible for him/her to do a set?

A.    No.

Q.    Our friend is an excellent singer. Could he/she possibly do a few numbers?

A.    Only if it is arranged when making the booking and the guest is serious about what he/her does. We do not tolerate people who abuse our equipment.

Q.    A guest at our party suffers from epilepsy, will your lights affect them?

A.    Yes they can. Please let us know before the performance or any time during the show speak to the DJ who will turn off any strobe or strobing lights.

Q.    Can you play any special requests?

A.    We will do our utmost to play you and your guests' requests. However, just to be certain we have your selection, please contact your DJ via email who will gladly send you a music/event planner. All this entails is a guideline of the types of music, as opposed to a set play list for 4 hours, as these are usually much too rigid and invariably make for a very boring night for you and your guests.

Q.    What if you get a better gig or offer after we have booked you?

A.    As soon as the contract has been signed and returned, the night is yours. Under no circumstances will we or have we turned down gigs for others.

Q.    How long does it take to set up your equipment?

A.    On average it takes between 60 and 90 minutes to set the roadshow up. This varies however upon the amount of equipment required for the venue, if space is restricted, if access to the room is poor and if the function room is up-stairs. It is your responsibility to ensure that the venue is available for this period.

Q.    How long do you need after to take-down the equipment?

A.    This usually takes no more than 60 minutes, subject to the conditions.

Q.    We have elderly people coming who are worried about the volume?

A.    Throughout the performance we continually analyse our volume to ensure optimum level. This means, loud enough for dancing but quiet enough so people don't have to shout a conversation. Please discuss with us any possible deviations from this.

Q.    The venue has a sound & lighting rig installed. Can you use that instead of your own equipment?

A.    Our DJ's can link into any house PA, providing it reproduces the same quality sound as our own PA system. A compromise may be sought between the two if need be.

Q.    The function room has a sound limiter and smoke alarm fitted. Is this a problem?

A.    Smoke alarms obviously restrict the use of our smoke machine. This isn't a problem as we wouldn't use it. However it would reduce the impact of our lighting effects. It is also important to inform us if any of your guests suffer from asthma, despite the fact the smoke is only a water-based vapour.

Sound limiters can sometimes be quite restricting to the quality of the sound from the PA. If you have a large number of guests at your party, it may be impossible to compensate in volume. Certain venues have them installed as a requirement for their Entertainments Licence in order to respect the local neighbourhood. We as a business have to respect that.

Q.    The venue has an automatic power trip at a set time. Is this a problem?

A.    Again, certain venues are required to install them for their Entertainments Licence. Please acknowledge the time of the cut out, and only book your party till that time. In the past, people have been unaware of these and have felt let down by us because we had to finish earlier than expected. Yes they are a pain, but we as a business have to respect the systems and finish performance 5 minutes prior in order to shut down the equipment safely. We will inform you if your venue has this installed.

Q.    How far in advance do I need to book?

A.    The answer is simple - as early as possible. We get booked up very quickly, sometimes up to 18 months in advance. Book early to avoid disappointment. Send us an enquiry form.

Q.    We have a wide range of ages in our guest list, can you cater for all ages?

A.    Our comprehensive music database includes a vast array of music genres. In other words, yes!

Q.    How much power do you need?

A.    In order to operate the equipment safely, we require two seperate 13A socket outlets located within 10 metres of the set-up area.

Q.    Can you set up the equipment outside?

A.    Only if we are fully protected from excessive wind, rain and direct sunlight. It is the DJ's discretion to determine if conditions are deemed to pose a threat. We reserve the right to cease performance if this occurs.

Q.    Can we extend the length of your performance?

A.    Yes you can at the rate stated in your contract. Overtime is at the complete discretion of venue management.

Q.    Do you do Karaoke?

A.    Unfortunately we do not offer Karaoke services.

Q.    I have another question?

A.    Certainly... Send your question to us by email.
